Pick up from accommodation and travel to Mareeba, via the Kuranda Range.
06:00 – 06:30
A suitable launch site is decided (depending on weather variation and wind direction), and the balloon is prepared for take-off.
06:30 – 07:00
First 30min flight takes to the air as you are carried on the breeze, take in the surrounding panorama, inland towards the Outback and east towards the hills that form part of the Great Dividing Range & which separate the Tablelands from the coast. Photo opportunities abound and don’t forget to smile for the in-flight photograph taken by cameras suspended as if in mid-air.
07:00 – 08:30
Comfort stop before the journey home.
Departs Cairns City daily at 4.00am
Returns Cairns City 8.30am
Please note: In order to offer the Express return, we cannot drop off to the Northern Beaches. Northern Beaches return is available on the Standard 30 Minute Balloon Flight.
Extra Costs:
- Civil Aviation & other insurance charges, takeoff/landing fee, transfer costs, GST & administration charges of $30.00pp is payable on the day of travel.
Restrictions:
Ballooning is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant and you must be able to climb into the basket and stand for the duration of the flight.
